They are “microchildren”, or as say doctors, prematurely born children with extreme weight of a body, that is children, whose weight at a birth makes less than 1 kg.
Prematurely born is the kid who has been given birth from 22 till 37 gestational weeks and with weight from 500 g. Such is provision of the World Health Organization. However there are various degrees of prematurity. The basic criterion is the weight of a body. So, if the child is born with weight less than 1 kg he is prematurely born with extreme weight; up to 1,5 kg - prematurely born with low weight of a body, and more than 1,5 kg - simply prematurely born.
